Respond to emergency calls from the public and responders.
Ensure the reception, triage, and dispatch of calls.
Enter and consult data in line with established procedures.
Provide instructions to callers to help deliver emergency care and secure the scene until responders arrive.
Apply operational procedures rigorously.

Hold at minimum a high school diploma.
Be available full-time to work rotating day, evening, and night shifts throughout the year.
Meet the Ministry of Public Security’s requirements: visual and auditory acuity, psychological stability, and resistance to stress.
Have no judicial impediment related to the position.

Strong capacity for concentration, analysis, and synthesis
Excellent judgment
Ability to carry out multiple tasks simultaneously
Good tolerance to stress
Good command of computerized systems and the ability to quickly enter data using a computer keyboard
Ability to communicate verbally in English and French with tact and courtesy
Good team spirit and respect for others
