All your emergency calls handled in one place

9-1-1 Emergency Center

Since 2005, the Abitibi-Témiscamingue Emergency Call Center has provided 9-1-1 service to all municipalities in the Abitibi-Témiscamingue administrative region, with the exception of the City of Val-d’Or and the Lac-Simon Indigenous community.

It also serves two towns in the James Bay territory, as well as localities in the western part of the Eeyou Istchee James Bay Regional Government territory and the Transtaïga Road, between Radisson and the Brisay hydroelectric plant.

Emergency Fire Calls

The Secondary Fire Emergency Call Center (CSAU Fire) coordinates the response of fire safety services following an urgent call transmitted by the primary 9-1-1 center through the Fire Priority Dispatch System (FPDS) protocol and oversees the mobilization of firefighters and external services. The entire 9-1-1 service territory of CAUAT is also served by the CSAU Fire.

Emergency Health Calls

The Secondary Health Emergency Call Center (CSAU Health) also coordinates the response of health emergency services transmitted by the primary 9-1-1 center.

The entire 9-1-1 service territory of CAUAT is also served by the CSAU Health.

Emergency Public Works Calls

The Emergency Call Center for Public Works Services handles citizens’ emergency calls related to municipal public works infrastructure and equipment, and informs or mobilizes teams to intervene quickly. Currently, we provide this service for the City of Rouyn-Noranda and the municipality of Rivière-Héva.

Served Territories

CAUAT serves the entire Abitibi-Témiscamingue region, with the exception of the City of Val-d’Or and the Lac-Simon community. In addition, CAUAT also covers the following territories in James Bay: Villebois, Valcanton, Lebel-sur-Quévillon, Matagami, Radisson, as well as the Billy-Diamond Highway.
